Dragons have long been the fascination of Man, whether they are real or fantasy. They have become the subject of brilliant stories of bravery, heroism and love. Many adventures make dragon a hero, saving the lives of many from some other heinous beast. We always have a fond recollection of our memories associated with Dragons, may be by virtue of the tales or by virtue of their gigantic, fabulous and monstrous appearance. They breathe fire, which was worshipped and seen as the biggest benefactor or protector of human beings. Dragons have also become a popular subject for tattoos. There are two distinct dragons that are seen in this dragon world. The Western Dragon, which is an evil creature that destroys villages and collects and guards huge hoards of treasure.

The Eastern Dragon is regarded as a benevolent protector of people, dispenser of life giving water and herald of fertility and good fortune. The western Dragons are supposed to have a long body, thick, scaly skin, four strong legs, and two bats like wings. They are supposed from Europe. Eastern Dragons are supposed to have a serpentine body, four legs and they do not breathe fire. They are seen in different part of eastern world like China, India, Indonesia or even Egypt. In reality, Komodo Dragons live in Komodo Island in the middle of 17,000 islands between the Pacific and Indian Oceans, known as Indonesia. It is believed the ancestors of these Dragons walked the earth in pre-historic times as long as 40-60 million years ago. While they cannot fly or breathe fir, Komodo Dragons grow up to Ten feet long and weigh as much as four hundred pounds. Armed with razor sharp teeth, the real life Dragon is capable of swallowing up to 80% of its body weight in one meal.

Bearded Dragons are gentle creatures from Australia but are now readily available due to their willingness to breed in captivity. They make a wonderful pet for both beginners and advanced reptile keepers. Due to their docile nature and relative small size, usually 16 to 20 inches, they have become quite popular in recent years. Dragon Tattoos have a meaning of power, wisdom, surreal beauty and the inner growth of the human soul. Dragons are magical, superhuman and demonstrate their supremacy on Land, Water or Air. They are supposed to be gentle creatures, but if provoked there is no stopping them. These are innate qualities a man would aspire for himself, which he satisfies by having a Dragon Tattoo on him. If a woman has a Dragon tattoo, she indicates that she is independent, intelligent, strong, loyal and protective. When provoked she becomes fierce.

A Dragon tattoo represents that a woman is not afraid to be herself, no matter what other people think about her. She may not let all the comments and everything else that may have been said about her, get her down. It takes a strong woman to be comfortable with her own self, and not care what other people think. Among Chinese Dragons they are a type of Dragons called Faerie Dragon. They not only form the subject of Dragon tattoos but also come under the scrutiny of Fairy Tattoos. Some other Chinese Dragons also have butterfly type wings and Butterfly Tattoos of this type are also in existence. Because of these special qualities, the Dragon Tattoos are the popular in the world. Depending on one's personality, each person can select a Dragon Design...
