Winged
creatures, like fairies tend to represent freedom and happiness.
Creatures called fairies or faeries are known to be tiny, magical
creatures with wings and good intentions. The mystery of the fairy
began in Italy, where they were called Fatae, which means fated ones.
Fairies became famous through folklore and fairy tales, where families
would share clever stories of these mystical creatures over time.
Fairies are a great example of the human mind's brilliant imagination.
Fairies are not human beings, nor or they from our world. They are
supernatural creatures that sometimes like to pretend to be human.
Fairies most often live in their own magical places. However,
sometimes they can be found wandering amongst flowers, gardens and
fields. They have some special powers, which they normally will use to
serve humans well, such as giving gifts of beauty, wealth and good
nature to those they see fit. Pixies, elves, gnomes, nymphs and
sprites are similar mythical creatures that appear in stories and
tales with fairies. Fairies have come to be universally known as a
spirit, although mythical in theory, they are wildly entertaining in
our natural world. Fairy tattoos have become surprisingly common over
the past several years.
One idea behind the fairy tattoo is based on gaining some of the
fairy-like, magical qualities or benefits that fairies have. A strong
sense of imagination is usually necessary to have in those interested
in fairy tattoos. Fairy designs are another highly popular tattoo
subject. They are probably a more sought after design for women than
men, and the number of women being tattooed has been steadily
increasing for the past few years. Fairies have different meanings for
different people, just as with any other type of art.
The nature of the fantasy and the fact that many of us grew up by
hearing the tales of small fairies doing great deeds, brings a certain
amount of nostalgia to many of us. The desire to fly and magical
powers of the fairies appeals to others. Maybe it is just their
unabashed beauty, their closeness to nature or their virgin like
purity. Whatever the reason maybe, fairies and fairy art, are becoming
more elaborate and wide to choose...
